surroundings
The river Tarn dominates the hilly
landscape, meandering its way through the valley which stretches from
Millau to Albi. Along the way, six reservoirs provide “green
electricity” for the area.
Our house is some 160 metres above the
river. Across the valley lies St Cyrice church — a place of pilgrimage
as far back as the Middle Ages. Farther on the horizon lies Broquiès —
one of the few villages that still boasts a mini-supermarket, a
baker’s, a butcher’s, and a hairdresser’s. There is also a bazaar
where you can find almost everything.
Down by the riverside there is a camping
site with a small beach which can also be used by our guests.
